Head Of Department: Miss C Langkilde

A warm welcome to all parents and learners in the Intersen Phase -2012 is going to be a year for lots of good things to happen. It is all about being part of a team, not only on the sports field but also in the classroom, the grad, the phase and the school as a whole. A special welcome to all the grade 4 learners and parents who have now entered the second phase of their education: that being the Intermediate Phase. Many changes will take place and these learners will now be involved in nine learning areas and will be moving from class to class. We have at least 30 new learners and their families that have joined Montrose this year and we welcome you to our Montrose family and hope you will have a very rewarding and long happy stay with us.

As well as all our new learners this year I would like to welcome the new members of staff: in grade 4 we have Miss Santana, In grade 5 Miss Low-Plakas, Mrs Egen joins the grade 6 team and Miss Hubbard – who will be taking the Girls for Human Movement. Our Grade 7 team welcomes two new staff members, Mrs Van den Bergh and Mr Stephenson.
Mr van Heerden is teaching the Foundation Phase ICT as well as Afrikaans for the Grade 4 group. Mr Sparks is working alongside Ms Hartnack in the Media Centre.
To all the other teaching staff I welcome you back to another year at Montrose.
